§ 9 Use of analytics programmes

I. Google Analytics

(1)  This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer, allowing the website to analyse your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie on your use of this website will normally be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be truncated by Google within a member state of the European Union or within any other country which is a party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for purposes of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activities and providing the website operator with other services relating to website use and internet usage.

(2)  The IP address transferred by your browser during the use of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google.

(3)  You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all functions of this website in their entirety. Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of data that is generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) for Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

(4)  This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. As a result, IP addresses are processed in a shortened form and direct references to people can be excluded. As far as the data collected about you is personal, it will be excluded immediately and the personal data will be deleted immediately.

(5)  We use Google Analytics to analyse and regularly improve the use of our website. Through the statistics gained, we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the United States, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Article 6(1), clause 1, letter f GDPR.

(7) This website also uses Google Analytics for a device-independent analysis of visitor flows, which is carried out via a user ID. You can deactivate the cross-device analysis of your usage in your customer account under "My data", "Personal data".

§ 11 Use of Google AdWords Conversion Tracking

We use the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and within the scope of Google AdWords, conversion tracking. Google conversion tracking is an analysis service of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). When you click on an advertisement placed by Google, a cookie will be placed on your computer for the conversion tracking. These cookies become invalid after 30 days and contain no personal data, which means they do not serve the purpose of personal identification.

If you visit specific pages of our website and the cookie has not expired yet, Google and we can see that you had clicked on the ad and had then be forwarded to this site. Every Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. It is therefore impossible to track cookies via the websites of AdWords customers.

The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. In this respect, the customers receive information on the total number of users who have clicked on their advertisement and have been forwarded to a web page with a conversion tracking tag. They do not, however, receive any information which can be used for the personal identification of users.

If you do not want to take part in the conversion tracking, you can object to its use by setting your browser software accordingly, which will prevent the cookies from being installed (disabling option). This means that you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. Further information and the Google privacy policy can be found at: http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/, http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

I. YouTube with enhanced privacy

Our website uses plugins from the website YouTube. Site operator is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. This mode, according to YouTube, means that YouTube does not store information about visitors to this site before they watch the video. However, sharing data with YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the enhanced privacy mode. It tells the YouTube server which of our pages you've visited. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube will allow you to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

In addition, after launching a video, YouTube may store various cookies on your device. With the help of these cookies, YouTube can receive information about visitors to our website. This information is used, among other things, to capture video statistics, improve usability, and prevent fraud. The cookies remain on your device until you delete them. If necessary, after the launch of a YouTube video, other data processing operations may be triggered that we have no control over.

The use of YouTube is in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

For more information about privacy on YouTube, please see their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

We use Adobe Typekit to display fonts on our website. Adobe Typekit is a font library access service provided by Adobe Systems Incorporated, 345 Park Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110-2704, USA (Adobe).

When you visit our pages, your browser loads the required fonts directly from Adobe, in order to display them correctly to your device. Your browser will connect to Adobe's servers in the United States. This will give Adobe notice that your website has been accessed through your IP address. When providing the fonts, no cookies are stored according to Adobe.

Adobe has EU-US Privacy Shield certification. The Privacy Shield is an agreement between the United States of America and the European Union to ensure compliance with European privacy standards. For more information, please visit: https://www.adobe.com/de/privacy/eudatatransfers.html.

In most cases, this is 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, then we will fall back on 128-bit v3 technology. Which of the pages on our website are transferred in encrypted form can be recognised by a symbol of a key or of a closed padlock in the lower status bar of your browser.

(2) We also employ suitable technical and organisational security measures in order to protect your data from accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or access by unauthorised third parties.
